Meet Your Local Business: Premiere Dance Academy

Things that make you go hmmm.... Dance

• A male dancer lifts over 1-1/2 tons worth of ballerinas during performances.

• Most ballerinas wear out 2-3 pairs of pointe shoes per week.

• One tutu costs up to $2,000 to make.

• The same tutu requires 60-90 hours of labor and over 100 yards of ruffle.

Premiere Dance Academy is based on the philosophy that everyone should personally experience the world of dance. Dance develops balance, control, posture, focus and fine-tuned listening skills. Because dance inherently involves problem solving, pattern and sequence, it enhances higher thinking abilities. Excellent training in dance technique, teamwork and performance quality promotes self-confidence, creativity and a sense of exuberance in accomplishment. Our goal is to provide each dancer the opportunity to grow and learn in each of these areas.
