The combination of a commitment to charity, love for the outdoors and passion for the law summarizes local attorney Jodi Langhorst See.  Jodi oversees a Prior Lake law practice that focuses on the areas of family law and divorce cases, estate planning, probate cases and will preparation, personal injury cases and alternative dispute resolution.  Managing those many and diverse areas with a personal touch is what sets her firm apart from others.

“I like the challenge,” she says.  “Each individual and each case is unique.  I like having an office on main street.  There’s a small town feel here that helps me reach a real connection with my clients.”  Jodi Langhorst See Law Office has been at its office above Edelweiss Bakery since 1999, a location that helps solidify a genuine community connection.

Prior to founding Jodi Langhorst See Law Office & Dispute Resolution Services, PLLC in 1999, Jodi was practicing law at various firms including Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services,  Farrish, Johnson & Maschka in Mankato and Sieben, Gross, and VonHoltum in Minneapolis.  There’s an academic history to be proud of as well as she is a Warren E. Burger Scholarship Award winner and MN Association of Legal Assistants Award recipient.

Given the intense focus she brings to her practice, it’s a basic necessity for her to find creative outlets for relaxation.  Enter her love of fishing and hiking.  It should be noted that she pursues her chosen hobbies with the same vigor she brings to her work.  She’s hiked in Alaska and has been to the Matterhorn in Switzerland.  Toss in a love for country music and one has a pretty good idea of what’s on her iPod during those exciting hikes.

Deep sea fishing is also at the top of her "how to have fun" list.  Her office is adorned with pictures of her catching some pretty impressive fish.  “I grew up in an outdoor family,” she said with a smile.  “My parents had eleven kids and I suspect that they wanted us out of the house as much as possible.”

Community activism is a passion as well.  Her humanitarian sense of duty is strong.  She’s a foster parent and volunteers her time with Crisis Nursery out of the Cap Agency in Shakopee.

She and her husband enjoy life in Prior Lake.  She has two children; a 31 year old and 12 year old.
