Blahnik Law Office, PLLC  is a self described general practice law firm in downtown Prior Lake.  A conversation with founding attorney, Adam Blahnik, reveals the depths of expertise the firm has developed.  Family law, criminal law, estate planning, business start-ups and civil litigation are all specialties of this "general" practice.

Blahnik grew up on a small farm in Caledonia, MN.  His ambitions led him to law school where he received his Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College in 2005.  He was married 9 years ago and his off hours are spent with wife, Terrie, and their two dogs and two cats.  The couple love gardening and hope one day to live in the country where they can take their gardening hobby to the next level.

Blahnik has substantial, personal engagement in the Prior Lake community as well.  He sits on the city planning commission and is a member of the Prior Lake Rotary Club, as well as currently serving on the board of directors. The community involvement has spread to his entire office getting them involved in Junior Achievement at the local schools.

One could refer to the Blahnik practice as a practice of diversity.  His associate, Mallory Retzlaw, brings an expanded focus in criminal law to the firm. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Hamline University School of Law in 2012. She grew up in Prior Lake and graduated from Prior Lake High School.

Kimberly Prchal is also an important part of Blahnik’s Law Office. She is a law clerk who received her Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Her degree focused on law, crime and deviance relating to family and criminal law. After graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2006, she moved to Arizona for four years.  While she was there she was employed with Arizona's Child Protective Services.  She’s been a volunteer in several arenas relating to family law, including Big Brothers, Big Sisters; Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, People Serving People Homeless Shelter, and various domestic abuse shelters both in Arizona and Minnesota.

Everyone in this firm is hands on, but paralegal Heidi Middendorf ties it all together.   She oversees all the "day to day" business, including processing the mail, answering the telephones, organizing and filing all pleadings and correspondence in client files, drafting legal documents and helping in literally all aspects.

Adam Blahnik has put together one of the most impressive firms in the city.  The diversity there is genuine and no matter one’s legal requirements, it seems they have a means to satisfy it.
